Three Returned to Office in Hannibal

HANNIBAL – Mayor Fred Kent and two trustees were returned to the Hannibal village board in last week’s races. The trustee race was the only contested village race in Oswego County. Incumbents Joseph Caruana and Terry Wilbur defeated a challenge by Edwin Cuyler. Caruana received 46 votes, Wilbur 42 and Cuyler 11. This is a second term for Wilbur, who works for Oswego County. Caruana, who teaches at SUNY Oswego, has been on the board for several terms. Kent was re-elected with 44 votes to a second term. The mayor and trustees serve two-year terms. The mayor receives $5,290 annually. Trustees receive $1,846 a year.
