Fire Ends 100 Years of Family History
Jeanne Godet / Wayuga Contributor Wednesday, February 3 2010
A fire on Route 38 in Victory destroyed a rental property owned by Thomas Beman late Sunday evening. The fire, which was believed to have been started by a woodstove, destroyed a home that had been in the Beman family for over 100 years. It is the same property that rocked the hamlet of Victory when a propane explosion occurred there on Oct. 13, 2008. Fire and rescue crews from Victory, Red Creek, Fair Haven and Cato responded to the scene.
