ROSE - Richard L. Greening Sr., 74, died Jan. 29, 2010 at DeMay Living Center. Calling hours will be Feb. 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the McWharf Funeral Home, 4791 Route 414, N. Rose. Friends and family will be gathering for a meal following calling hours at the Rose Grange Hall, Route 414, Rose.
He is survived by Star (Dennis) Standbrook, Richard Greening Jr., Karen Greening, Daren “Spook”  Greening, Traci (Norman) Schtrompf, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was predeceased by Nancy Greening in 2004.
Richard was born in Rochester and lived most of his life in Wayne County.  He joined the Army at age 18 and served until 1968.  He worked as a cook at Rochester General Hospital as well as other various places.  He loved to fish, camp and make dream catchers.  Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
